Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I sure did!!
I am SO excited about this post y’all because I’m E-N-G-A-G-E-D!
For those of you who know me personally KNOW how bad I wanted this haha and boy did Steven deliver! I still don’t think it’s completely sunk in that this boy is no longer my “boyfriend” but my FIANCE! I’m not going to lie, I now call him Fiance and him the same with me, yeah we’re that annoying couple but WHO CARES, we are on cloud 9!
I will work on a wedding website at some point but I want to tell you all our story! If you wish to read about how we started dating, click here! I wrote a post a few months ago about that sweet story! I want to tell y’all about our weekend and how Steven proposed!
For starters, a few years ago, Steven and I took a trip to Port A for a quick weekend get away and had the BEST time together. Fast forward to a few months ago. I was itching to go back to the beach and just get away for a long weekend. So Steven and I settled on a “good” weekend and took off work.
We get to the condo around 8:30pm on Thursday night. Unloaded the car, got Riley settled, and went to the grocery store to grab things for some homemade burgers! When we got back to the condo Steven brightly suggested that he was going to shower and that I should get in after him and he would start the burgers so they would be ready when I was done. Not thinking anything of it, I jumped in the shower.
When I got out I walked out to the patio where Steven was supposed to be cooking burgers. When I opened the door I noticed a sign that said, ” I love you more and more everyday”, our song was playing on our Bose, and Steven was standing with his hands behind his back. I, still not thinking anything, said “awe, this is cute”. Steven walked towards me with his hands still behind his back. He started talking and I noticed his eyes were watery…I knew then what was happening. He said a few more words and then got down on his knee and said, “Will you marry me?”…Obviously my answer was yes but I gracefully followed with a “are you serious right now”? haha.
That was night 1 and it was great, we were able to spend the entire weekend celebrating! I couldn’t be happier! I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend! After 5 years we are finally on to the next stage of the rest of our lives! Let the wedding planning begin! I hope y’all don’t mind me sharing the journey with you! #kurfessingourlove
